Botswana: Financial Constraints Halt National Border Buffer

The exercise to create a buffer along the international boundary was put on hold on account of financial resources, acting Minister of Lands and Agriculture, Dr Edwin Dikoloti has said. Dr Dikoloti said this answering a question in Parliament on Tuesday, indicating that the exercise commenced in May 2024 and was intended to cover the entire boundary of Botswana with its neighbours, including the Molopo area, to address territorial integrity and sovereignty.
